I need more fun and excitement in my life!
Below is a blow-by-blow recount of my birthday celebrations (I know, it's been about three weeks since my birthday, well, I'm sorry, I've been so busy enjoying my new life without school and when I wanted to update, my darling Toshiba died on me). After the PR exam, Ming, Jenny, Nadiah, Maria, Syed, Arman, Yihan and I had lunch at (where else?) AL-AMEEN!
We had Nasi Briyani Ayam. Yum yum.
Haha! Then Arman and Syed left for their Friday Prayers and Nadiah left for home and Maria left for a hot date. Hurhur. So, it was left with the girls and I.
We went down to town cos Ming was whining about getting her haircut. She tried to persuade us to go to Parkway Parade for her haircut with her normal hair stylist. But we whined back and said it was too bloody far. So, it was to town we went. Ming got her haircut at this Japanese-sounding-name-place-which-is-actually-Japanese in Isetan. And it took FOREVER. Jenny and I walked around Isetan for 4547687692 times before her haircut was done. Oh, I went to Forever 21. Tamade, their clothes are overpriced. I saw this top that was very pretty, and coincidentally looked good on me, but it costs freaking $48. The material was quite inferior, so I didn't buy it. It wasn't worth my money.
After that, we ate AGAIN! Omg for the 2132547329th time in a day at Crystal Jade. Chen Hanwei was sitting a few tables away. He looked like a lobster (I meant his skin tone). But he's quite cute. Heh. Three of us ordered dim sum and had Mango Pudding for dessert (Yes, I know, full meals in the middle of the day?!?!).
While waiting for the food to come, Jenny and I were trigger happying.
And Ming threw tantrums cos nobody took pictures with her.
The food came, finally! Har Kau, Siew Mai and don't know what lah.
Chee Cheong Fan and some fried thing. OMG. Goes straight to the ass.
And we walked and walked. We walked and walked a little more and I bought a top from Zara and another top from this place called WH. But I'm not the grand spender of the day. I think Jenny was. :D
The three of us then headed to Bugis to meet Mabel and to have our manicures done. But, the two manicure shops at Bugis Village was fully booked for the next 2 hours. So, we couldn't get our manicures done. Then, we decided, the smartest thing to do would be to go and have some drinks before going to Clarke Quay for dinner. And we cam whored. Obviously! What else could you do when you put four girls together?
While waiting for the drinks to come,
Jenny and her new phone. I think the accesories hanging weigh more than her phone. I love the furry pink heart though.
And with Mabel around, the camera just won't stop clicking. ;)
The ice cream floats came. YAY!
I know lah, I look damn greedy right?
She forced us to take this picture for her.
And we talked and made merry and were happyhappy people despite not getting our nails done. It was to Clarke Quay for dinner after that! We were supposed to meet Nadiah, Maria, Syed and Yihan for dinner.
But look who was there as well?
JONATHAN NG!
Here's the story, apparently they planned a "suprise" birthday celebration for me and called along some people. Yay, I really really appreciate it you all. :D It was honestly, the bestest eighteenth birthday celebration anyone could ask for.
And they even got me birthday presents and cards and there was even a cutesie, bimbotic handmade card that screams "Serene"... AWWW!
I've two new pairs of earrings. One on my ear and the other in my hands. Pretty righhhhtt? :)
And a new bimbotic mug. Does the ass look like mine? It's popped up you know! And I know I look weird here.
And new pretty pink lingerie!
We had dinner at this Indonesian restaurant by Clarke Quay. The food was pretty good. Yum! Good food and great company, what more could I want, right? :)
Nadiah was the rice-scooper of the night.
She abused me by giving me so little rice. Boohoo.
And some of us had beer. Two jugs for the night.
And look at the food. Gosh, I'm feeling hungry again.
Yummy yum yum. Are you hungry? Cos I am.
Yes, Nadiah? Don't glare.
And cheers! We both looked pretty red.
And more beer that gives me a beer belly!
I bet it was Syed who took this picture, cos we've experienced his shaky hands before. Heh! But I think this picture's taken by Nadiah. ;)
Jon: Thanks for coming down. It was good seeing you again.
A moment of act-cuteness.
The group picture. Wheee!
And another one! It's a little dark I know. And I can't photoshop it cos I lost my Photoshop CD.
The night ended very well. And especially I, was very very happy. For the girls, the night didn't just end there. We proceeded to Cocolatte, but it was dead. Really dead. Zero people on the dance floor. Zilch. What a disappointment.
Then we headed back to Ming's but Maria had to go home. We ate (again!!!), talked and watched MTV together till they began to go down, one by one. I know the girls are gonna kill me for doing this, cos I'm gonna post some unglam pictures. LOL.
She was the first to go down. Yes, presenting to you, Miss Mabel Lee. (Err, I know you can't see her face, but it's her!)
And then, it was Jenny's turn. She still looks doll-ish while snoozing.
Nadiah glared at me for the second time in the night. And that's Ming almost falling asleep with her Buttercup bolster. Nadiah went down next.
Then me, then Ming. Obviously, there are no pictures of Ming cos I fell asleep before she did. But I took some of her in the morning when I woke up. -rubs hands in glee- We called for McDonalds delivery in the morning. And know what? We ordered hotcakes and the butter that came was already melted into oil. WTH right?!?! Boo you, McDonalds!
And that's Ming while we were having breakfast. Still fast alseep!
Er hemm, what's Nadiah staring at again? Me?
Oh, she's looking at Utt who coincidentally dropped by for a visit. :D
Thank you all for making my birthday such a fantastic one- so memorable and enjoyable. I love you all to pieces. Itsie bitsie pieces. And to those who sent me wishes by sms, calls, tags or whatsoever, thank you all so so much. :D
I"M FINALLY EIGHTEEN! YAYNESS!
Okay, that was the birthday celebration with friends. Of course, there's also the boyfriend's one. There's no family celebration this year, cos Mum was away in Jakarta during my birthday, visiting Dad and my sisters are all not staying home anymore.
Here's how the one with the boyfriend went...
In the afternoon, we went to Bugis to do some shopping and to get my French Manicure done.
This was taken a few days later. Pretty aye?
It's almost all gone now. Boohoo.
Then, we had our dinner and some beer at Brewerkz which is located somewhere along Clarke Quay. Coincidentally, it's also the place where we had our first date. Maybe that's why Brewerkz holds so many beautiful memories for me.
That's one of the presents he got for me- a shawl. Can't really see it here but it's in a colour I almost like. Almost pink.
I can't remember the name of this beer. But I think it's called Oktoberfest Lager.
After dinner, I launched into the cam whore mode and my boyfriend followed suit. Sorry, no Photoshop to adjust the contrast and stuff.
He wants to be the spokesperson of a branded watch.
After dinner, we walked and sat at the steps along the river. Haha, so cliched right, but there's where we sat after dinner on our first date too.
Reminiscing?
Oh, this.
We sat there for some time, talked and relieved those memories. Aahh, wonderful.
At the end of the night, we were happy happy people. :D
And so, that marked the end of the celebrations of my eighteenth birthday. It was an unforgettable experience- one that'll be kept close to my heart for a long time.
To me, being eighteen is just another number and it's just less than 365 days more before I turn nineteen. OMG, sounds so old.
Alright, below are some random pictures from different occasions.
During the Ambassadors Camp- fellow Masscommer, NengHao and I.
Me and the two peple senior-er than me- Junsheng and Renee.
And my boyfriend and I decided to come here one day to visit Merlion.
And so, we sat down here and cam whored and talked and had dinner at Bakerzinn later on. :D
Thanks for sticking around and reading till the very end. More entries coming your way sionce my Toshiba's up and running again. :D Enjoy what's left of the holidays, and to the A'level takers, study hard and good luck, it's just another month plus to go. :)
Much love to all of you. Mwah!
