It's unbelievable that's it's only the fifth week in school and we've so so much work to do already. I'm starting to dread going to school again. -whines- Let's see what work we've lined up for us...

  • Communication Issues Research Paper & Presentation due 28th June.
  • Public Relations News Release Test, 1st July.
  • Newswriting Field Assignment due 4th July.
  • Radio Productions On-Air Presentation Test (Preparations) 6th July.
  • Web Design Journey Website due 8th July.
  • Public Relations Media Kit Assignment due 19th July.
  • Web Design Reflective Journal due 26th August.
Now now, doesn't that just look so so exciting? And I'm so definite we've much more work coming up in a couple of weeks.

I was just thinking, 28th June will mark the one year that I've been in poly. The past one year has been a series of ups and downs but obviously, I had fun.

It's the year...

  • I grew up,
  • realised that the world wasn't as picture perfect as I thought it to be,
  • got out from my sheltered secondary school life,
  • learnt more about the other species- men and their horny-ness,
  • learnt that poly wasn't as easy nor smooth sailing as I thought it to be (If you're still thinking that "poly is slack" or even worse if "MassComm is slack", shame on you, go and stick your head in the toilet bowl and pull the flush),
  • experienced what all MassCommers experience (You all know what I mean. Need I even mention?)
  • and of course, made a bunch of great friends (How could I forget that, girls?) By the way, I think the friendships I had in secondary school were actually very superficial.

Do you share my sentiments?

There's been many changes in my life of late or maybe there'll be many changes in months to come. Firstly, my dad might be leaving my mum and I in JB to work in Jakarta. He'll probably come to visit once a month. I don't know, but somehow, I feel that the whole family's breaking up. Growing up sucks. I'm such a baby, I know.

  • Big sister, Doreen is working in KL as an Accounts Exec (Non MCM-ers, it's PR and Advertising field, not Accountancy),
  • second sister, Daphne, a trainee teacher in NTU-NIE Singapore,
  • third sister, Elaine, going to Dundee (UK) in mid July to finish up her MBBS (I know you're thinking, why doesn't the smartness run in the family. I shall be able to get free MCs next time. -evil laughter-) and lastly,
  • ole moi, Serene, staying in JB, studying in Ngee Ann Poly- Singapore, pursuing my diploma in Mass Comm. But I spend most of my waking hours in Singapore,
  • Mum stays in JB and she's a homemaker and
  • Dad's most probably going to Jakarta. Quite confirmed I guess.

So, look, six people in the family, five different locations. If you still have your entire family staying with you, count yourself lucky, cos I really wished my whole family was still living under the same roof though we'll have those little quarrels.

Just realised, this post has many bullets. HAHA. No particular reason.

It has been one happy month. :)

Before anyone else says I'm biased, I love you all. :)
