i'm back. a few pounds heavier than before. a tad poorer than before. and not forgetting the fugly pictures that make me look like a polar bear because of the many layers of clothes i was wearing.

yes huns, that's what the cold weather in shanghai does to you. it makes you eat like a cow and put on a tremendous load of weight. not forgetting, shop like you've never seen the outside shopping world before (some items were bloody cheap. small items i mean). in actual fact, i don't think it's the clothes that make me look like a polar bear. i think it's just me. i think i'm just fat. pfft.

back to the trip. it's okay. it wasn't exactly fantastic like the previous holidays i had. maybe it's cos the whole family was not there. maybe it's bcos i told myself it won't be as good as the previous holidays i had. maybe it's bcos...

whatever.

do give me the honour to recount some of my experiences to you. not the whole thing of cos. spent the 6 nights in 5 different hotels. i was in shanghai, wuxi, nanking, suzhou and hangzhou. these cities were all bloody cold. it never did snow but i literally froze my big ass off. the lowest temperature was around 5 degrees celcius.

i felt that it was really boring at times. all we did was to visit temples mainly (it's a cheena place. what did you expect?) and also shopping and visiting all the "china government recommended spots" which means those places where they made tourists attend a boring lecture on some topics like chrysanthemum tea, pearls as in oyster pearls (not bubble tea pearls), chinese tea, royal jelly, jade and so on and after that they will try to persuade you to buy their products. like whatever.

the lil bit of sightseeing here and there really awed me to bits. the lakes were beautiful. the mountains covered in slight mist was wow. we also visited the monumental sites of a few great historical figures in china. i climbed 392 steps on one occasion just to see the monument of dr sun yat sen. yes. bloody 392 steps. i enjoyed the sightseeing. =] some of the guys were just so hot. yes, there were some hot cheena guys. and some hot tourists. i'm sorry naddy. i did not bring back a hot cheena boyfriend for you. they were all not hot enough for you, you hot mama.

anyways, i had a freaky experience. on the second morning in the hotel in wuxi at like 6.30am in the morning, the teevee suddenly switched on by itself. it was like 2 minutes after I woke up.

me: mum, did you switch on the teevee?
mum: no i did not. why would I watch teevee so early in the morning?
me: i didn't either. can you like switch it off please?
(murmuring to myself) me: oh God oh God oh God. help.

i was dead scared. too dead scared to say anything. the remote was on the coffee table. and the coffee table was like 3 metres away from me. one thing you should know. my mum was a nurse in her younger days. so, she's not scared of all these things. she did not even suspect anything until I told her about it yesterday on the flight back to singapore.

one of the women in my tour group told us she saw something "unclean" at the hotel in suzhou also. she said it was like some blurred female figure.

there's a brand of condoms in china called... (drums rolling) "know your bird". i'm not kidding. it's really called "know your bird". i was damn hilariously-fied when i saw it at the hotel in suzhou. i told my mum about it and she found it funny too. it was probably a sleazy hotel or something. i've yet to tell dad about it. he'll laugh for sure.

we went to a few shopping centres. and dammit, the clothes were fucken expensive. for those normal sweaters, it costed RMB 1200++ which means it's about S$300++ just for sweaters that were already discounted! and women were like snatching it. I saw this pair of really cute pink heels. i looked at the price tag. and almost fainted. nearly S$1000. and you thought the standard of living in china was VERY low. okay lah, the stalls at the roadsides were bloody cheap.

i did not buy any clothes, needless to say. all the clothes sold were winter clothings. why? cos it's winter season over at cheena my dears. why the hell do i need winter clothings in a humid country like malaysia and singapore?

the people in china are very rude. most of them. they shove you and they don't apologise. one woman scolded me when i didn't know how to read the name of some pastry in china. the men in china re ungentlemanly. they do not hold the lifts for you when you are trying to juggle 2 heavy luggages. bastards.

i missed and thought about my friends while i was in cheena. i'm serious. i missed you all!

i just got my timetable. at like 3.30am today morning. yours truly was up till 5am and I woke up at 2.30pm. i've got NO LESSONS on thursdays! rejoice. who's got SAB classes on Wednesdays 1-3pm with leow chin feng? who the hell is that anyway!!??!! my timetable looks pretty okay except for tuesdays. lessons are from 8am to 5pm. like the monday lectures last sem. And t106 is no longer t106. we are t101 now. dammit.

okay, the 3 aunts and and 2 cousins are coming over to my place in 20 minutes time for dinner or something before the 2 aunts and 1 cousin leave for KL and Alor Star. that's the reason why i'm not going for virgin suicides later on. =[ and i'm kinda shagged, truth be told.

i'll upload the pictures in abit.
